A Blood Moon Tetrad is a sequence of four consecutive total lunar eclipses with no partial eclipses in between. Tetrads are rare โ there were periods in history where not a single one occurred in 300 years. Tetrads falling on Jewish feast days (Passover and Sukkot) are rarer still โ only four have occurred in the last 500 years.

OCTOBER 27โ28, 2007 ยท TOLD IN FIRST PERSON
Something unexpected happened.
I began to feel a strong desire to go to Israel. I had very little knowledge about the place. I checked whether a visa was needed and learned I could enter. Flights were still available. I booked quickly โ almost without time to reconsider.
I left Japan on October 27.
During the flight I could not sleep. At some point I looked out of the airplane window and noticed a very bright object in the sky. It was larger and brighter than the surrounding stars. I watched it for long periods.
I considered this as the very sign from God I had been asking for, a confirmation to know if it was indeed Him who had led me to travel to Israel in that manner. In that moment, I remember thinking:
If I see that again after landing, I
will follow it.
If there is nothing there, I would go to Jerusalem.
BEN GURION AIRPORT ยท EARLY MORNING DARKNESS
When the airplane landed in the early morning darkness, I stepped onto the ground and looked up immediately.
It was still there.
Inside the airport I was questioned by immigration officers. I had no itinerary. No reservation. No clear plan. When they asked where I was going, I answered honestly:
I would take a taxi toward the direction of the bright star I had seen. If there is nothing there, I would go to Jerusalem.
Two officers went outside to look. They returned and confirmed: it was visible in the sky.
They released me.
I went to the taxi area. The drivers were standing quietly beside their vehicles. I was directed to the first taxi in line. The driver introduced himself. He spoke English, and I felt relieved.
As we left the airport, the sky was still dark and the moon was bright. After some time on the road, he also noticed the object in the sky. He said Jerusalem was in that direction and began driving there.
The roads changed slowly โ from empty highways to streets with buildings and lights. I remained awake the entire time, watching the sky through the window.
When we reached the city walls, he stopped and told me we had arrived.
I stepped out of the taxi and looked up.
The bright object appeared directly above a high stone wall and tower that I did not yet know by name. The streets were quiet. Dawn had not fully come.
I stood for a few seconds looking at the wall and the tower rising behind it. The driver watched me quietly, perhaps waiting for instructions โ but I did not have any to give.
I finally turned to him and asked the simplest question I could think of:
"What is this place?"
He pointed toward the walls and said calmly:
"This is Jerusalemโฆ the Old City."
I did not know what to do next. I did not know the meaning of the event. I did not know how significant the experience was โ until I came back to Japan and began to discover things.

In 1994, Marisa gave birth to a son she named Emmanuel. His father called him Michael. He turned 21 on December 15, 2015 โ during the Blood Moon Tetrad of 2014โ2015. Marisa's grandson is named Yoshiya โ meaning "Yahweh heals."
